The Founder’s Confidence Kit: What to Keep Close When You’re Launching Something Big

Launching something new? A fresh offer, a rebrand, a quietly powerful shift in direction? This one's for you.

Because let’s be honest: launch season can be expansive, exciting and full of opportunity — but it can also bring spirals, wobbles, self-doubt and overthinking. Even when the strategy is sound, the energy often isn’t. Not because you’re unprepared, but because you care. Deeply. And sometimes that care shows up as pressure.

So this isn’t another checklist. It’s a softer kind of support. A gentle permission slip. A curated list of things to keep close when you’re launching something big — not to push harder, but to feel more like yourself in the process.

Something grounding

For when your thoughts are racing or your nervous system is whispering, “too much, too fast.” A grounding element helps you drop back into your body and soften the mental noise. Think:

  • A calming scent (lavender rollerball, palo santo, eucalyptus balm)

  • A playlist that slows your breathing

  • A ritual you return to (like lighting a candle or pressing your feet to the floor before you post or present)

Grounding doesn’t have to be spiritual or serious. It just needs to bring you back to you.

Something to help you plan

Because clarity calms the chaos. Launching without a plan? That’s when things start to spiral. But having a clear visual of what’s happening (and when) can be the difference between overwhelm and ease.

Your Personalised Itinerary, if you’ve created one with me, is the place to start. Otherwise:

  • Print out your calendar or use a paper planner you actually like

  • Keep a Post-it stack for braindumps

  • Break it all down into small, simple steps (you can do them, or delegate them)

Simple = sustainable. You don’t need 12 apps to manage a 2-week launch. You just need a system that feels like you.

Something that makes you feel confident

You don’t need to be louder, bolder, or "more visible" than feels right. But you do deserve to feel good in your skin while you show up.

Your confidence kit might include:

  • A fragrance you wear only for launches

  • A blazer or lipstick that makes you stand a little taller (for me that’s Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk lipstick)

  • The earrings you bought when you signed your first client

Confidence doesn’t come from perfect preparation. It comes from choosing things that remind you of your power.

Something to support your energy

Even the best launches can be draining. So what will keep your energy steady — not just in week one, but all the way through?

  • Schedule actual breaks in your calendar

  • Keep nourishing snacks close by

  • Go for a walk before you check your stats or share that story

You are not a machine. You are a woman bringing something meaningful into the world. Protect that energy.

A mantra or mindset reframe

What thought do you want to carry with you during this launch? What feeling do you want to return to?

Some ideas:

  • "My work is worthy. My pace is enough."

  • "I’m allowed to create quietly."

  • "It doesn’t have to go viral to be valuable."

Write it on a sticky note. Set it as a phone reminder. Whisper it before every visibility moment.

You don’t have to push. You don’t have to prove. You just have to protect your energy, trust your process, and keep showing up with the intention you began with.

This is your launch. Your work. Your magic. And you get to do it your way.

Now tell me — what’s in your confidence kit?
