Just launched your new website? Now it's time to promote it! Here's how...

After your website goes live, your next step is to get your website discovered by potential clientele.


This is actually something that a lot of people struggle with! We either underpromote or overpromote - both are equally as ineffective as the other.


Within this article, I'm going to be giving some tips that you can immediately implement to get people onto your site for free!



Add your website in your social media bios

Adding your website to your company social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest) will act in a similar way to submitting your website to an online directory... It'll be counted by search engines.


To demonstrate the power of social media, let's use our brand search 'High Flying Design' as an example. On the first page of search results on Google, you'll find our website in position no.1 (as it should be), followed by our Pinterest, Trustpilot and Instagram profiles.



Add a link to your website in your email signature

An email signature is a perfect opportunity to brand every message you send. It establishes and reinforces who you are as a company. To give the person on the other end of your email the opportunity to learn more about your business, leave a clear link to your website.

Take advantage of your existing mailing list

Email marketing allows you to build relationships with potential, current and past customers. It's your opportunity to speak directly to them in their inbox, at a time that is convenient for them. Coupled with the right messaging, email can become one of your most impactful marketing channels.


If you've already got an email list filled with all of your existing clients, now is the perfect opportunity to send out an email campaign to everyone telling them about your new launch and the customer benefits that come along with that! Scream and shout about how it'll be easier to view your services, book in and get in touch.



Submit your website to online directories

Listing your website on an online directory like Google My Business will go a long way in helping improve your online presence. It is not that internet users will conduct searches on these directories (though a small probably will), but it will be counted by search engines.


For most businesses, it's also beneficial to add your website to review sites like Trustpilot and begin collecting reviews at different points of your customer journey.
