As a professional web designer, my response is probably a little (a lot) bias... As expected, I recommend that you do get a website for your business. Here's why...

Remember Myspace, Bebo or what about Piczo? These were all pretty popular social networking sites in the '00s. But as you probably would have guessed, they are no longer around.


Whilst Mark Zuckerberg's social empire seems strong right now, there is a chance that this could change and the impact on your business could be detrimental.


With only social channels, you don't own your brand. Ideally, all businesses should have a website, as well as a strong social media presence. A website allows you to control the narrative and send people to your social pages when you decide... Your website should be the home/heart of your social presence.


2. Having a website will add instant credibility to your small business

Did you know that a significant 56% of people stated that they don't trust a small business without a website? First impressions count and a beautiful, effectively designed website will allow you to make you a very good one.


3. It can improve your business processes

A website can improve business processes to help systemise areas of your business saving you time, giving your staff and customers a better experience. You might find it useful if your website could do all of the following: automate sales and marketing, onboard new clients, wow customers, get paid faster or make orders easier by collecting all the information you need automatically at checkout.

Websites offer a better return on investment than any other form of advertising.


81% of people research a business or service online before deciding whether or not to purchase. If you don't have a website, you have no chance.


A website can put you ahead of your competition as it is available even when you're not. Your website is live 24/7/365. And if done right, it could save you lots of time enabling you to spend more time doing what you love.
